Meet the Team!

  • Anthony Roberts

    CSW

Hi, I’m Anthony Roberts, CSW. I provide Child‑Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) for children in Salt Lake City. In the playroom, your child leads and I follow—using limit‑setting and reflective language to support emotional safety, problem‑solving, and self‑esteem. I collaborate with caregivers through regular check‑ins and practical at‑home ideas, so progress in the playroom shows up at home and school.

My approach is warm, non‑directive, and developmentally respectful. I often help with worries/anxiety, emotional outbursts, perfectionism, school stress, ADHD‑related challenges, grief and life transitions, and friendship dynamics. I’m a Certified Social Worker practicing under clinical supervision and currently training toward the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. If you’re looking for a steady, age‑appropriate therapy space where your child can be fully themselves, I’d love to work with your family.

  • Ruby Bates

    CSW

I believe in children’s innate capacity to overcome the challenges they face. I am honored to play a supportive role in this process as a therapist and state-certified social worker (CSW). I graduated with my master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah in May of 2025 after completing a year-long internship at a Child’s Place. I’m currently working to become a registered play therapist, and have received training in child-centered and Gestalt play therapy techniques. This expressive treatment modality allows me to meet children and teens where they are, and address complex feelings in developmentally appropriate ways. Collaboration with parents and caregivers is an essential part of my role, and I strive to find solutions that will support the collective wellbeing of your family. I have experience working with neurodiverse children and teens, youth experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and families going through transitions such as divorce and separation. I am passionate about supporting gender-diverse children and their families; as a member of the LGBTQ+-Affirmative Therapist Guild of Utah, I embrace the unique identities of all the clients I serve.
